As one of the main sponsors of the “eroFame” trade fair, the pjur group meets the international adult industry in Berlin

The first edition of the “eroFame” trade fair was held in the Metropolis Hall at Filmpark Babelsberg in Berlin from 20 to 22 October 2010. The new trade show had already recorded over 2,000 online registrations before the fair began, and became within the three days the largest gathering of representatives in the erotic industry around the world.

As one of the main sponsors and a member of the fair’s advisory board, the pjur group was represented with a 100-sq-m booth, presenting a full product range. With lubricants, products for massage, stimulation and hygiene, as well as condoms, pjur was able to supply the right product for every customer, whether male or female, gay, fetish or hetero. The entire sales team from the Luxembourg head office had travelled to Berlin, as well as the pjur representative from the US office. So every customer had the chance to personally meet their contact within the team of 12 sales consultants, and receive advice on the products and innovations.

The new pjur med series comprising lubricants and one stimulation spray formulated with natural ingredients, as well as the associated PoS materials such as tester displays etc. met with great interest. The products for health-conscious customers not only impressed with their attractive design and informative labelling, but also with the high-quality raw materials used in the formulations.

Latest success of the new formulations: pjur med REPAIR glide was rated as “very good” in the overall assessment by ÖKO-Test in their 2011 year book. The series could also obtain some new listings at its presentation during the trade fair.

The raffle of 2 Apple iPads (WiFi, 3G, 16 GB) at the pjur booth was one of the highlights of the first two days for almost everyone – including the exhibitors. Hundreds of participant cards went into the draw to be the lucky winner of the big pjur raffle at 5pm each day.

On both raffles the pjur booth and hallways were packed with people, because the winners had to be there in person. In the end, the iPads went to a Brit and a German among the audience.

“The concept of “eroFame” as a B2B trade fair with an international character and participation, spread over 3 days, has borne fruit. The trade show visitors were given the opportunity to conduct relaxed talks in a stress-free atmosphere, without having to pay an entry fee. The trade fair times, location, and entire organisation were, overall, impressive. These are very important criteria for all national and international trading partners, which make a trade fair economical and efficient. This was confirmed to us by the sensational response on all days and in our meetings”, says Alexander Giebel, CEO and founder of the pjur group.

The trade fair contacts were international and both -new and existing- contacts had travelled from neighbouring European countries, as well as from Russia, Scandinavia, Japan, China, South Africa, the Middle East, Australia, the USA and Mexico.

The fair’s management recorded over 3,000 visitors of the adult industry, retailers and press/media contacts. The B2B trade show was followed with an exclusive evening function such as a trade fair party at the Filmpark. A stunt/volcano show performed on an amazing film set and the presentation of the “EROTIXXX Awards”, during which numerous representatives from the adult industry were recognised.

The pjur group was also able to enjoy an award and the distinction of “Best Branding 2010”!
